List of Duas for Ramadan

Must read

Ubadah bin As-Samit (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Whenever a Muslim supplicates Allah, He accepts his supplication or averts any similar kind of trouble from him until he prays for something sinful or something that may break the ties of kinship.” Upon this someone of the Companions said: “Then we shall supplicate plenty.” The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Allah is more plentiful (in responding).” [At-Tirmidhi]

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam,

I pray that you all are well and taking advantage of the blessed month of Ramadan. While we all have our own personal struggles, issues and desires that we pray for, some things apply to all of us. So, today I decided to compile a list of duas written by many people, that we could all use in this Ramadan especially on Laylatu Qadr. I have also written the proper method of making duas. I am no scholar of Islam, so please forgive any of my mistakes. May Allah accept our prayers. Ameen Begin with the Darood:

Praise Allah: Oh Allah, you are the Most gracious, Most merciful, Most powerful, All knowing, Most forgiving:

Oh Allah, please forgive me for all the bad that I’ve done, and I continue to do. You are so Merciful and kind, please forgive me, and help me stay away from all that’s wrong. I’m so weak but You are the Strong. Please increase me in sincerity.

Oh Allah, I beg You, please guide me, my parents, my children, my brothers and sisters, their families, my extended relatives and friends toward You.

Oh Allah, make every single aspect of my life be for You and in service of Your Creation. Please remove all false intentions that I have.

Oh Allah, cure me of my pain and sickness. Oh Allah protect all of us from the corona virus pandemic. Grant us all good health and a long life so that we can serve You and serve humanity in the best way.

Oh Allah, save humanity from being its own enemy. Protect Your creation from oppression. Save the people of Kashmir, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and other occupied territories in this world from internal and external oppressors and grant them justice. Protect us all from violence, fear and danger, You are our Protector.

Ya Allah, let me love You as You deserve to be loved, and let me fear You as You deserve to be feared, and let me leave this world serving Your creation for Your sake.

Oh Allah, increase me in knowledge, but let this knowledge be with sincerity, not seeking fame, glory, status, and material wealth. Let this knowledge serve Your cause in a way that You accept, and let it benefit humanity.

Oh Allah, please guide my children and all children. They are surrounded by so much temptation and Haram (forbidden things). Protect them my Lord from all the evil influences that are around them. Give them friends who will strengthen their faith and help them stay on the Straight Path.

Oh Allah, guide me to seek my knowledge of You and this blessed Deen (religion). Oh Allah, please help me stay away from Haram in achieving the best of this world.

Oh Allah, don’t let me ever turn away from You, no matter how many trials and difficulties You test me with. Let these difficulties serve to make me a stronger Muslim and more sincere to You.

Oh Allah, give me the ability to forgive all those who have hurt me in word and deed.

Oh Allah, help orphans and poor wherever they are. Please give me the means and ability to do whatever I can for them.

Oh Allah, guide and protect our teenagers who need Your Help and Guidance from all of the temptations in our society. Oh Allah, cleanse my heart of the sicknesses of arrogance and pride and let me die as one of the sincere, humble Muslims.

Oh Allah, all of my brothers and sisters who are suffering for Your sake through torture, violence, in jails, etc., around the world please forgive their sins and grant them Paradise.

Oh Allah, I have been so impatient, please give me patience and help me control my anger for Your sake.

Oh Allah, lift the veils from the eyes of those who have been deceived into seeing Islam as something bad because of ignorance and media stereotypes.

Oh Allah, bring all humans closer to You and each other. Please do not make us Muslims a test for them with our misrepresentation of Islam because of our bad behavior.

Oh my Creator! Purify my intentions and let me do everything for Your sake with sincerity and commitment to You. My Lord! Relieve the suffering of those who have experienced disasters in the last year.

Oh Merciful One! Have mercy on me in this world and the Next. My Sustainer, my Provider, let me always subsist on an income that is Halal so that I may gain Your blessings and have my supplications accepted.

Ya Allah, You are the Strong, I am the weak. Please strengthen my faith and commitment to You and let me die at the highest peak of Iman. My Lord! Accept the good I do and please give me the ability to do better in this world for the benefit of humanity.

My Creator! You are the One Who heals. Please heal those of us who are sick and grant us excellent health so that we can effectively serve You.

My Lord You are the Destroyer. Destroy every iota of disbelief, arrogance and pride that is in my heart. Let me die as a sincere, humble believer. My Merciful, Wise Creator! Help me serve my parents in the best way before they or I die. Make it easy for me to treat them with great kindness and gentleness and to be humble before them.

Oh Allah, help the millions of people around the world who are suffering from disease, starvation, and homelessness.

Oh Allah, help me speak the truth in all situations so that I can attain closeness to You and Your Paradise.

Oh Allah, help me keep up the good habits I picked up in Ramadan once the blessed month ends.

Oh Allah, bless humanity with a cure for all diseases such as corona virus, which has caused the deaths of thousands, including that of my friends.

Oh Allah, cure humanity of the ugliness of racism and prejudice. Please especially cure the Muslims of this and help us follow Islam’s rules of treating all equally, regardless of race or color.

Oh Allah, cure us of cowardice and help us stand up for what’s right, no matter who is being wronged.

Oh Almighty Allah, please accept my duas and prayers. Ameen
