Nearly 1500 years ago today, was the day (9th dhul hijjah) on mount Arafat where our beloved Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) gave his final sermon, which signified the completion of the message (Islam) that he was given by Allah to convey to the whole of mankind for all of times.
It was a sermon that brought together the message of the purpose of life in terms of worshipping Allah alone, giving the due rights to every relationship, serve with justice and spread peace.
After praising and thanking Allah, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:
Thus our beloved Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) completed his final sermon, and upon it, near the summit of Arafat, the revelation came down:
Oh how much we need these words to be reminded to us over and over again…
May Allah’s mercy, peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa’sallam) for indeed the biggest blessing for us is to be of his Ummah, the best of all Ummah.
May Allah allow us to drink from our Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa’sallam)’s blessed hands at the fountain of al-Kawther and make us his companion in His Kingdom of Jannah.
